Our Mission

Cooking with CISOs is a cinematic, human-first video series that brings together CISOs and security-minded tech leaders to cook their favorite dish and share what doesn’t get said on stage, in webinars and podcasts, or in sales decks.

Whether it’s one CISO or a CISO and a trusted partner (operator, founder, engineer, or advisor), each episode captures the real story behind the role - the pressure, the pivots, the people, and the plate. As the knives come out, so do the insights: burnout, boardroom battles, vendor fatigue, personal losses, leadership wins, and the truths buyers wish vendors knew.

This isn’t just a content series. It’s access to the hardest to reach IT buyers. Our vendor partners align their brand with the most trusted conversations in cybersecurity at a time when buyers are tuning everything else out.

Our mission:
To bring trust, vulnerability, and human connection back into cybersecurity by showing the humans behind the titles and the truths behind the tech.

What Security Leaders Think of Cooking with CISOs

100% is a professional cooking show- from ideation to meal creation - I can't wait to tune into this station.

How can the world go on not knowing parlando peppers are sweet and Cholula bottles are one serving? Yes, I drank the rest of the salsa from a mug.

You and your big love for people created these moments. Thank you  & I loved every person.

See you mid-morning - if we wrap early maybe a field trip to my house would be fun before you go? Whole crew welcome.

Robert Pace

CISO at Invitation Homes

Such a great time on Cooking with CISOs - thanks for turning the idea into an actual production! There was good discussion & laughter, both are the secret ingredients for a good meal!

The CISOs included says it all - some powerful professionals!

An innovative way to get to to the human side of CISOs...hoping all will enjoy! CISOs lean in and participate....you will enjoy it....even if you are not ready for culinary school.

The sharing of your experiences will add the right seasoning to your dish!

Troy Vanderhyde

Sr. Director of Security Engineering and Operations at XPO

Thank you so much for inviting me into your show. I felt like a celebrity Chef for a day working with an amazing team and crew.

What a production that was. I know you're used to this sort of thing but for me, it was a totally immersive experience.

I'm really happy to have met Ben and Dani and look forward to more fun and success in the future.

I took some good pics also and I'm gonna post about my experience on LinkedIn for Monday. Stay tuned and thanks again Dani. You're the best.

Meet the Host, Dani Woolf

Founder of CyberSynapse | Buyer Researcher | GTM Pro

Dani Woolf has spent the last decade and a half doing what most cybersecurity marketers struggle to do - earn the trust of skeptical IT buyers.

She’s not just the host of Cooking with CISOs, but a builder of relationships, a listener of hard truths, and a relentless advocate for empathy in a space that’s too often transactional.

Before co-founding CyberSynapse with her partner, Ben Siegel, Dani led high-pressure marketing teams at some of the top, high-growth cybersecurity software startups.

But her real edge came the day she got publicly roasted by a CISO for using meaningless jargon and chose to lean in instead of shut down.

That moment launched a career in buyer research, hundreds of in-depth interviews with CISOs and security leaders, and a reputation as the person security leaders actually open up to.

With Cooking with CISOs, produced by cyberwhyze, Dani takes that trust to a new level, off traditional webinars and podcasts and into the kitchen, creating a trusted and vulnerable space for the kinds of stories and conversations that vendors rarely hear, but desperately need.
